I have lived in Orkney since 2005 and worked on different heritage and wildlife projects throughout the Isles.  These jobs have been an excellent way to learn about the Orkney landscape and wildlife and this is the main theme of my artwork.

​Over the last decade, I've been studying Orkney's Otter population.  This has led to many hours on shorelines; watching, photographing and sketching Otters and the places they visit.  It is a rewarding, if sometimes frustrating pursuit, but one that has given me tantalising glimpses into lives filled with colour, energy and intrigue.  I hope that this is reflected in my paintings.
